Assalamu Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullah Wa-Barakatuh
Dear Respected Brothers and Sisters in Islam,
With immense gratitude to Allah (SWT), we present a glimpse of Al-Jamiah Al-Islamiah, Patiya, Bangladesh’s largest non-government Islamic university. Al-Jamiah is a renowned centre for Islamic knowledge, dedicated to the preservation and propagation of Islamic culture, the message of Tawheed, and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
This prestigious Islamic institution strives to broaden the scope of Islamic education and create scholars, teachers, and preachers who contribute meaningfully to society—both at home and abroad. Alongside theological studies, Al-Jamiah integrates technical and vocational training and modern scientific knowledge, ensuring that students are well-prepared to serve as responsible and resourceful citizens of the nation while upholding their Islamic identity.
Key Contributions of Al-Jamiah:
• Comprehensive Islamic Education: From elementary to Dawra-e-Hadith (equivalent to a Master’s in Islamic Studies), specialisations in Hadith, Fiqh, Tafsir, and Arabic & Bengali literature.
• Community Service and Welfare Initiatives: Al-Jamiah runs an Islamic Missionary Centre and Hospital at Sukhbilash, an Islamic Education Centre and Hospital at Bandarban, Faizia Madrasah, and Tahfeez-ul-Quran Centre at Hathazari, Chattogram.
• Support for New Muslim Converts: We take pride in welcoming and educating many new Muslim brothers and sisters.
Student Welfare and Facilities :
• Over 5,000 students benefit from free education, accommodation, water, electricity, and library services.
• 3,500 financially struggling students are provided with free meals.
• Many deserving students, including new converts, receive clothing, medical care, and other necessary support at no cost.
How You Can Help:
Al-Jamiah relies entirely on the mercy of Allah (SWT) and the generous support of kind-hearted brothers and sisters like you. It has no permanent source of income, and its day-to-day operations are sustained through donations and sadaqah.
• Donations help cover the salaries of staff and construction expenses.
• Sadaqah (charity) supports student meals, clothing, and medical needs.
This message is to humbly seek your support, advice, and generous donations to help us continue and expand this noble mission. Your contribution—no matter how small—can make a significant impact in shaping future scholars and leaders of our ummah and ensuring the continued spread of authentic Islamic teachings.
May Allah (SWT) bless you abundantly, reward your generosity, and guide us on the straight path.
Ameen.
