Al-Jamia Al-Islamia Patia, is one of the world’s largest multi-faceted Islamic educational centers in Bangladesh. The institution was established in 1938. So far, this Jamia has been engaged in the responsibility of spreading the light of the Holy Qur’an-Hadith in the Muslim society, spreading the Islamic Tahjeeb-Tamaddun and taking active steps to free the environment from superstition.
Along with religious education, the Jamia also provides training in various handicrafts and technical skills to make the students employable. Every year, a large number of students who get higher education from Jamia, Mufassir, Muhaddith, Mufti, Muballig, Islamic thinker, Arabic writer, Qari and Hafiz Quran devote themselves to the extensive religious service of the country and nation. After completing the general religious education from elementary level to Dawrah-e-Hadith (Takmeel), the Jamia has multi-disciplinary departments of high level in Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, Arabic literature and topics, which are the hallmark of the Jamia.
